Terms of Service
Last updated: February 15, 2026
By using CrashAtlas ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CrashAtlas is an aviation incident database and interactive map. We provide publicly available aviation accident data in a searchable, visual format. The data is compiled from public sources and is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
2. Accounts
You may browse the Service without an account. Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not create accounts through automated means or use another person's account.
3. Premium Subscriptions
- Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
- All plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
- You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at info@crashatlas.com.
4. Free Tier
Free users can browse the map and view basic incident information. Some features — including full incident details, advanced filters, and comments — require a Premium subscription. We offer 3 free premium previews to unsubscribed users.
5. User Content
Comments posted on incidents are your responsibility. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content on the Service. You must not post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or spam. We may remove any content at our discretion.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk download data from the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal browsing
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
7. Data Accuracy
We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is complete or error-free. Aviation incident data is sourced from publicly available records. The Service should not be used as a sole source for safety-critical decisions or legal proceedings.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and original content, is owned by CrashAtlas. The underlying aviation data is sourced from public records. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrashAtlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile data and comments will be removed.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website.
